There is a tube going right through so I guess the crossmember was welded on the frame by the previus owner.
I need to lift the bike up a considerable amount of height by the handlebars and use my body to push it forward and of the stand.
Anyone?

Hmmmm......looks like the spring side stop bracket has the stopping face welded on the wrong side. Also the stop has been welded back on badly & in the wrong postion. Am I close?

It seems the former owner did a realy bodge job, The crossmember is on a different position compared to the legshield end on either side.
The stand is to long. The spring is on the wrong side? The stop is on the wrong side?

Can I fix this without grinding or welding? (I don't have the knowledge to or capability)
