Guys,

Just stripped a mate's engine and the endplate's large shim has been eaten into by about 1mm leaving a circlular shape ground into the shim....

I seem to recall that, back in the day, when the Lambretta was covered from 6v to 12v, you kept the 6v horn and the note was somewhat better than it...
