Re: Oil seal removal [emoji24]
If the screws don't budge with an impact driver, this is what I do. Prepare a T out of 2 x 6mm MS rods. The longer rod needs to be about 25cm and the shorter one about 20 cm. Use an arc welding machine make 2 spots to weld the T with the screws. After a minute or so, rotate the T by its handle in th...

Re: sil gp150 not ticking over
Could anyone help me, my sil gp150 cuts out at low revs. Hi Mickfeath, Need more details to debug the problem. Is this a new build or else it happens off late in a running scooter? Which cylinder setup and carburetor are you using? There could be more than 1 reason why this should happen. 1. Is the...

Re: Nylon lined cables
Can you use ordinary inner cables with these or do they have to be a specific type of inner? is it just the outer that is lined? Hi, Though I am not able to come up with a reason why not use ordinary inner cables with nylon lined outer, here in India Spaco makes Nylon lined cables and the inner cab...

Re: largest rear Tyre
Is the tyre not rubbing against the inner side of crank case? Have you introduced more shims behind the rear brake drum cone?YAMLAM wrote:whats the largest rear tyre you can fit to a Lambretta without removing the bump stop

Re: Fuel Leak
Remove the fuel sender and thoroughly clean up around the wire and plug. Use hot glue gun to seal it around the wires and the plug. The problem should be solved.

Re: Getting fed up now!!
Start the engine. At idle drain the oil from chain cover. As the oil gets emptied the idle speed tends to increase, which indicates a problem with drive side seal. Could be due to the seal placed wrongly or lose bolts on the seal retainer plate. Any which ways it is not going to self heal. The engin...

Re: Inlet manifold
The manifold makes the 25mm carb point to the left slightly as in pic. Hi Rainbowrunner, I dont see any harm with this setup. Indian Vijai Super Mark 2 came with a Mikini licensed VM22 carburetor (in the name of Micarb) which also is slightly offset to the left (very much like in your scooter). The...

Re: Lambretta wheel rim PCD and ID
Don't doubt your measurements but curious to know why you think it's an issue? Thank you very much Rosscla for confirming. I thought the same why but as I might make a tubless rim holder the dimensions might come in usefull Yes Shocky, you are spot on. Just trying to figure out a local solution for...

Lambretta wheel rim PCD and ID
Dear Folks, Has someone measured the rim PCD and the ID of the 2.10 - 10 rim that fits a Lambretta. My vernier reads 224mm centre - centre between the diagonally located bolts in the brake drum and 200 mm across the landing area where the rim rests on the drum. Please correct me if the above measure...
