Re: scoot rs parts
I have been looking for some decent non chrome ring legshields for ages but they are either too far gone or silly money. I wanted some original ones at first but as we all know you can put a lot of time and effort into panels that are not new. At the minute I'm doing the body work on my old vw campe...

scoot rs parts
hi folks. Anyone out there bought panels from scoot rs. Are they any good. I need some leg shields and running boards for my SX and they look like decent parts, rather than some of the re-pressed rubbish that is out there and the price is pretty good. Are scoot rs bits any good or should I look else...

Re: Running problems
Hi again folks. It seems to be a problem in all gears. It runs fine up to about 1/4 throttle, after that is seems to struggle and sounds rough. Jets are 200 and 100. Fuel flows freely with the bowl off and the float works correctly. Took the fuel banjo off and petrol trickles out of the hose rather ...

Re: Running problems
Ok, Been out to check a few things. petrol tap is not fouling on the petrol tap lever. The tap is a new one, fast flow rear exit. Petrol cap is new and breather clear. Looking at the tap. If I turn it on I would expect it to fill up the hose straight away. (The hose is the clear see through type) Bu...

Re: Running problems
Hi mate. It seems to be at a specific speed. If a went at 30 everywhere I'm sure it would be ok. It's when the engine has to work harder, I.e. a bit more throttle or going uphill it just stops. Thanks for the tip on the hose. I already have a clear one fitted but its worth a look to make sure it's n...

Re: Running problems
It's a stainless scooters exhaust. Tried fettling with the jettex for a long time. I tried various combinations of the jets upon advice from the place where I get my parts. There was a immediate improvement when I put the dellorto on. But it still splutters at around 35 ish and won't go past 40. I w...

Re: Running problems
All electrics are new, 12 v conversion.
Also tried the carb needle on each different setting but no change.
The head has not been matched to the cylinder, do I need to get it done?
I was thinking it would be a carb/jetting issue?
Cheers.

Running problems
Hello folks. I thought I had solved my running problems by binning the jettex carb but the scoot still cuts out on me. It's an LI 125. 175 head. Scoot rs exhaust.running a 26 mm dellorto, no filter, no air scoop. Fast flow tap. It starts perfectly, runs well up to around 35 mph where it begins to st...

Re: Finally on the road but...
Ok for anyone who may be intrested. I bit the bullet and bouth a 26mm dellorto. Fitted it including a longer throttle cable etc. It fired up straight away and I took it for a quick run, the difference was immediate. It pulled much better and didn't feel restricted at all. It still pulled very well i...
