Re: Runner 180 2t engine scull cap bolts.
Hi Again, Decided to get on with the job and tightened the bolts to 11Nm, the bolts don't seem to have bottomed out against the shoulder and the seal/gasket don't seem to be badly squashed/deformed. Will hopefully remember when ever I get it in the scooter with all the fluids in and running without ...

Re: Runner 180 2t engine scull cap bolts.
Having had a look at the parts again I'm thinking possibly that the plain section of the bolts acts like a shoulder that butts up against the cylinder at the thread and this is the necessary depth that allows the seal etc to work. It's the only way I can think of it working as no one has any differe...

Runner 180 2t engine scull cap bolts.
Hi All, Back again after a while away hope all are well. My question is - Anyone know what torque loading the scull cap / cylinder head cover bolts are tightened to ? Looked everywhere and can't find it , even in my workshop books. Don'want to get it wrong as it keeps the coolant in. Thanks in advan...

Re: Carb fouling on engine mount
Hi, You may need to talk to AF Rayspeed as I did when I fitted a budget 200 small block conversion kit to my 150. They do inlet manifolds that help with the carb/engine mount problem found with these type of kits so may do one for yours. Also Buzzsolomoto may do one as they do some of these barrel k...

Re: clutch top plate and kickstart shaft problems
I had a similar problem, kickstart shaft inner bush in the side casing was protruding too far. Bush tapped in reshim on kickstart shaft, job done. Had this on a couple of side casings. Hope this is of some help.

Re: What a f@@king TOOL
I got one of these tools ages ago when they first appeared, was a bit dubious as to how well it would work or wreck my crank. All I can say is for the money it worked really well and seems to be one of the better tools I have bought. Good to see other people are having good results with them. From t...

Cheers Storkfoot, the stainless Scoot RS one on my other scooter aint done it though, seems to be a more plastic type seal but has worked really well.

Fuel cap issues.
Hi All, Just a quick question, Anyone had issues with fuel tank cap seals reacting with current petrol ? I stopped for fuel on Friday, when I removed the tank cap the seal had expanded ( diameter ) so much that I was unable to refit the cap so had to discard the seal and clean up the mess when I got...
