Re: Fuel Gauge

I have also looked at the asap website and am looking to order both a fuel gauge and sender, looking at the diptype fuel they are all different lengths by cm. Which is the correct length one to buy for a standard series 3 tank?

Thanks in advance :-)

Re: exhaust question

Why not make some kind of heat shield, like they do on cars, that would stop all the crap hittng the pipe, but allow enough airflow to cool the exhaust, would look lot nicer than manky old heat wrap ! :-)

Re: Exhaust Information

Mikeck, look down the length of the pipe, if it's a mickeck you should see some lettering with Mk and a number 2, 3 ,4 ,5 etc for the version

Re: exhaust Wrap...

You could always make a heat shield out of metal plate, and cover the inside with the exhaust wrap, there by keeping a nice metal outer shield that looks the part.

Re: problem with cold starting .......

If Choke is working make sure the choke plunger is moving up corretly, if it is you need a bigger choke jet. I had the same problem and exact same hand over carb sorted it. Changed to a larger choke jet and my problem was solved

Re: Won't start in cold

2nd Choke.

Check the choke jet to see if it's blocked at all. If not it sounds like your choke jet could be to small, lastly check the choke cable mechanism is engaging and working properly.

Good luck :-)
