26mm phb carb
Is the setting of the air screw the same as on a std carb,about 1.5 turns out ??

No!!! there's no fixed setting. If you use the correct idle jet you will find it "dials in" somewhere between 1 and 2 turns out. Very important to get the idle mixture right as this has implications all the way up until you are on WOT.
