Finally got my 1960 S2 Li 150 Imola 186 put together and working But after putting a new loom in to suite the 12v conversion I am left with a purple wire from the handlebar switch...(loom has black, green. brown and pink )

I looked at the wiring loom on it before 12v adaptation (very crude) and the purple fed into the brown and pink into the regulator...So I have fed it into the brown at the headset...result no festoon and no dip....What does the purple wire do and where can I connect it to :?

If you've used an electronic loom it will normally have brown, green and black wires at the headset. The purple is the feed into the switch for the pilot lights, brown is the feed into the switch for the main lights, so both the switch brown and purple need to be connected to the loom brown to get their power.
