Bazman, I have just fitted mine, (JL3) I have a bit of play also, maybe not as much as you, there is a fair bit of play on the rubber cotton reel.

Is the SLJ bracket is the same as the brackets supplied with JL/Franspeed pipes? If so, move the bracket in a clockwise direction onto the next set of studs and the bobbin should line up with the hole in the end can support.bazman wrote:Hi have fitted one of these but unsure if it's supposed to have a lot of play in rear muffler? The Franspeed race pipe on my RB is fitted like this and works a treat. No need for an additional tie bar. (picture to follow if required)
If the SLJ bracket is different, apologies for butting in.

Hi , no it's not the same unfortunately, similar to franspeed , did try all the mounting arrangements but no joy. Will have another look 2moz, like the idea of the mb devtour bracket thoughBufficus wrote:Is the SLJ bracket is the same as the brackets supplied with JL/Franspeed pipes? Bit tight, but goes in. Better looking and sounding than the JL IMO.bazman wrote:Hi , no it's not the same unfortunately, similar to franspeed , did try all the mounting arrangements but no joy. Do you have too get extended chaincase studs for the mounting bracket?
Also do you know how much and can they be purchased seperately?
Thanks Baz.
