Oil Tempered and Rust
I've just got a spring for my R1 shock conversion. It's been oil tempered, question is if I leave it will it rust?

Yes, oil tempering is just a very thin surface treatment which will soon wear off. Oil blackening used to be applied to tools in the days before chrome plating came into effect.Lamaddict wrote:I've just got a spring for my R1 shock conversion.
