I can see the point if you were running a dry clutch, but this isnt.So what other advantages?.
1) Will it slip with oil
2) Will the oil break down the belt in time
3) How much will it stretch in time (i.e will you have to keep adjusting the belt)
4) Does it work with other peoples clutch's.
Looks a great piece of kit. Just want more info.

I was looking at this only this morning on camlams site, does look a great bit of kit, wonder if the gearbox will be incased from the belt drive so it runs dry.
Guy topper runs similar set up on his race bike.

Ricspeed, gone but never forgotten RIP my friend #59
I can see how it works dry on a track bike, i.e Guy Topper, but not on a road bike (kick start shaft)?
any news on this one outside the little information on the cam lam site?

Any more news or reviews on this? From the description on the site, I am having a difficult time visualizing how the ratio adjustments work.

am i right in thinking guy toppers one had a sealed end plate for gearbox to run in oil and being a racer the kickstart was blanked off and sealed (basically how it would be on an auto engine) and i would presume the benifit is less friction?
Very nice but you still need oil for the clutch, gears and drive bearing.Bilko wrote:From Cam Lams website
However, the saving in friction on the drive chain is likely to be worthwhile. Especialy for the dragstrip.
