Some of you may remember on the old forum I had some electrical problems with one of my scoots. Basically all lights including brake are not working.

I have replaced the stator for a 120 WATT BGM and swapped the Regulator and ignition switch for known good ones.

All wiring and earths checked and double checked.

I am getting around 15 volts at the brown in the headset, but if a connect a lamp across it, it does not illuminate. However, if I put the lamp across the yellow from the stator it does light up.

So the brown seems to be breaking down under load.

Any Ideas?

Run another wire in place of the brown. Even if it is external and a temporary measure, it should prove whether the original brown is breaking down under load.

Mind you, 15volts seems a lot. i would expect it to be regulated to 12volts max, but if you do get it working at 15 volts, I reckon the lights will be bright
