Quick couple of questions ...
After an accident on my li i have snapped the headset bottom off on the clutch side ...
Because the li is a chrome ring model are the headset bottoms different to non chrome ring models ?
Secondly i have a complete gp headset and not worried about originality can the chrome ring be removed to allow this to fit ?
If so how do you remove the chrome ring ? (have removed lockwasher and bearing already )
Thanks in advance Justin ....
li chrome ring model
the headsets are differant
yes it will fit bit there may be a gap or you might have to do some fileing
chrome ring needs some heat on it if its tight or a gentile tap with a hide or rubber mallet after soaking with wd40

There is a small grubscrew at the front of the fork tube about a cm down from the chrome ring, it has a pointed end which locks the chrome ring in place to prevent the chrome ring turning, unscrew this and drift out the chrome rong with a long bar from INSIDE the frame fork tube. It will be tight but gradually come out if you keep tapping with a hammer at different points around the inside of the chrome ring...................
