Old Af Stator With New Indian Flywheel?
Can I use an old Af electronic stator with a newish Indian electronic flywheel. If I was to try to use this stator am I right in thinking that there is some mod required to the mag housing? Was it something like having to have it machined out by 1mm to let the stator sit back slightly? Was it just because the stator bolt heads where too high and hit the flywheel so could I just use the shallower headed bolts?
Think the problem was with some AF flywheels not the stator, so putting indian flywheel on should be ok i would have thought. Just make sure nothing rubs when you put it together and you time it up properly.
