What effect, if any, could changing the stainless steel endcan on my Devtour on my TS1 to a JL Kevlar one have?

Hi Mike,

None probably, I changed the Devtour endcan on my GP for a PM Carbon one with no ill effects. I doubt you would notice any performace gains either though.

Cheers, Matt

Recently holed a piston after changing a JL-muffler to a PM-muffler, probably because the hole diameter of the outlet pipe is smaller on the PM than on the JL and the barrel ran hotter...
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty, well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, loudly proclaiming: "WOW, WHAT A RIDE"

I think you will find that the length of the tail pipe including the pipe in the middle of the endcan, should be about 13 times the internal diameter of the tail pipe.

in theory this gives a little back preasure for the exhaust gasses to work against

If it sounds different...you've hit the nail on the head.

If you just ran over and old lady at a zebera crossing....its not the end cans fault.

What problems have you been suffering since the change? Tinnitus??
