Hi.
First thing that occurs to me is that there are other things you can look at before binning the carb and simply sticking a bigger and better one on. You could look at your porting for one thing. There is bound to be a bit of a mismatch if you've simply stuck a larger carb on a standard cylinder, and that will only get worse. It'll be like squeezing the mixture through a funnel.
Talk to Special X about it. He's up your way and I'm sure he'll be happy to help.

That as well.

Thanks for that .Will seek out Special X. But just thought I might as well splash out rather than messing with old jettex as Im not clued up at all with regards jetting etc. In fact all I know is how to put petrol in and curse when she doesnt start ! Thought if i got new carb it would be roughley set up jet wise; old one past its best anyway

there is no guarantee that a new carb will be "roughly set up" as there is a lot to consider when buying one..flipster wrote:Thanks for that .Will seek out Special X. engine cc, which exhaust you are using, what type of air filter ... etc....
so, choose carefully ....
as you are running a bog standard 125, i would go with what the others have said and try and get the jetex sorted, and yes, mr special x will be able to guide you as to what jetting you are looking at....

Thanks everyone for all the advice. I ended up getting another jetex carb which was supplied jetted correctly for me by a very nice bloke called Mike Phoenix RESULT ! She starts and runs a lot better now so HAPPY DAYS !
