Red, I'm that thick, I'd probably would have done that if Sean hadn't said to drill out the alloy part.

Does anyone know how much the flywheel protrudes from the mag housing after the whole fin assembly is removed?

Would appreciate it if someone could measure how much sticks out from the mag housing.

If you are worried about clearance for a plastic fan you could always pack it out with spacers to make sure it clears the housing.

Hello Coaster, no it's not for a fan, there will be no fan. But am I right in thinking from your reply that without the fins and fin housing, it doesn't protrude from the mag housing?
