Hi all,
The situation is this: I bought from a friend of mine a Classic Rapido 200cc barrel damaged by a seizure.
My plan is to obtain a Rapido 230cc by reboring the barrel to 225 and fitting a 60mm crank.
So...here comes the questions:
1)which Wiseco 70mm piston could I use ?
2)which Yam conrod (type and mm) I have to match with it?
3)Does the piston (or barrel or crank) need to be modified to suit ?
Thank you very much!!
Dam
PS=sorry for my poor english!
RAPIDO 225: which Wiseco piston and conrod?

If you fit areed block there are a couple more pistons you can use. But a TS 250 Suzuki piston isn't a bad choice. does it have to be a Wiseco?
no it doesn't, I just want a good reliable piston...I know about the MBD Racetour pistons but they are out of my budget, so I tought that Wiseco was the answer to my desire...does it have to be a Wiseco?

TS250 pistons are about £60 from Grampian
AF do a good range of Asso Pistons for little money.
Wiseco/MB are about the best, and price difference between the two is negligable.

a Race Tour 70mm piston costs 137,31 £ + p&p from MBD webshop

Depends which Wiseco piston you get, and if it needs any work doing, and what rod you can run it with etc.....you should price up the combination as a whole package.
MB do pistons to run on 107, 110 & 115 rods....so you cant go wrong no matter which one you pick.
If you find a Wiseco piston that is substantially cheaper, try to find out if you then need to pay for a rod converion and/or to have work done to the piston skirt length altered etc.
But if its just price you care about.....as i say, AF do a cheap range of Asso pistons.

Riddle me this. Why would there be a range of "cheap" Asso pistons? Cheap in relation to a MB/Wiseco or cheap in relation to other not "cheap Asso's? If it's cheap in relation to another not "cheap" Asso, why is it cheaper? Quality?
That's not going anywhere...

i just meant cheaper than an MB or Wiseco piston.
Taken from AF site:
*Asso/Vertex 225cc (Conversion 200/225)
Sizes available: 70-71mm. £56.00
*Asso/Vertex 250cc (Conversion 200/250)
Sizes available: 72.5-73.5mm.£49.00
I'm a stickler for quality, so i would use MB or Wiseco.......this was just a cheap option in case damdam was only concerned with money etc.
