back of my scoots rear end is all over the place, feels as though its stepping out especially on bends or when you bang it into gear while travelling. Have spun the rear wheel while on its crankcase stand and it appears to be warped but its difficult to see where the the problem is. i think its the rim so have one being delivered tomorrow (i hope) so will change tyre and stick it on the hub and see if it sorts it out.

Any ideas on what likley problem could be if not this?

Is there any play in the rear hub? Is the frame straight?

the frames straight and this has happened over the last few months. As i can see the wheel is warped im hoping the problem is there although it could be somewhere else and this is acsasabating it? When i took the rim off and just spun the hub it doesnt seem as bad although its still slightly out (within tollerances?).

As you say in your first post, could be the rim and....as your getting a new one, let's hope it's that simple.
P.S. You haven,t got one of those 'Ramp' brand rear hubs on have you :?: :?:

Hopefully the new rim will sort it.
Wouldn't want to think your gearbox endplate is loose

Why not swap wheels front to back and spin it again on it's crankcase stand (don't ride it  ) - if it stops wobbling you know it's the rim, if not it's the hub/hub nut/wheel bearing/endplate/engine mounts.........
