Its a relatively new DVLA policy. However, as with most things DVLA its all a bit half-arsed and from posts I've read it seems a complete lottery as to what they decide to call it irrespective which of the several Indian manufacturers actually made the thing.
Meus Lambretta est non infractus. Is est quietus.

If you take it to Preston Joe you might have half a chance as the guy who does the inspections is of the scootering variety, plus he owns an indian one and italian. Told me a lammy is a lammy regardles of where made.

When i get round to registering my kelvinator , i want it on the V5 as a kelvinator not a common as muck lambretta
