Can anyone advise on whether this barrel should be repaired/or is cost too high?

As you may be able to see one of the spigots has partly broken off!!!!

Unless its somthing rare or exotic porting, I would say forget it... its going to cost around a £100 or more to put a spigot back on by fitting a steel liner...

That's what I was thinking....................

I believe it to be an SX/TV barrel bored out to 70mmwith ports slightly enlarged and smoothed out.......

have a TS barrell that has ran like that with no problems, chamfer it and the rest of the spigot will support the skirt,

but i am tight when it comes to spending money

if you run a jap piston you end up having to cut the spigot to match the cutaways

It also has a crack that runs nearly the remainder of the spigot width.................

Can you run a barrel without one or both spigots, I thought the piston used these at BDC. It is the lower spigot!!

The piston will try to tip into the inlet and/or exhaust a little more than normal as the skirt is not fully supported... wear would, I think, be rapid... It would no doubt run... But how long is anyones guess...
