Bog standard Italian GP150 still on points running fine after thousands of miles starts within two kicks from cold. Today took flywheel off to oil feltpad as just done over 3,000 miles when changed condenser & also oiled felt pad then.
Put back together, would not start - no spark, assumed points out as pushed open to clean using thin card soaked in meths (as i usually clean them), so reset points got a spark fired up then shortly after died repeated what i did numerous times so at a loss of what the problem is, even after a cup of tea & a lot of swearing still no joy.
New points were fitted around 6,500 mile ago but as said scooter starting running fine until today.
Any ideas

Problem solved, must have knocked the points out, each time i reset them still no spark with the exception of one time when all was good but mistakingly released the screw rather than tightening it just checking it was tight before refitting flywheel.
Reset points & checked timing, had to move stator to get correct firing point. As you are suppose to check timing after resetting points i assume the cleaning of the points must have knocked them out & then timing out although never happened before.
