If a series 2 body has a series 3 engine in what rear shock should it have, please?

Their is no difference between series 2 and series 3 engines, the difference is between engine covers.I have a series 2 engine with a series 3 engine cover in a series 2 frame,I use a series 3 (305mm) rear shocker because the series 2 shocker makes the carb manifold sit to high and hits the frame,it seems to ride ok and I've done hundreds of miles with it like that.300mm is also the length of a series 3 shock,it just happens that I had a 305mm shock on the shelf so i used that.By the way,if you use a series 3 engine cover in a series 2 frame make sure you use a kickstart to fit.Tractorman wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2017 4:29 pm If a series 2 body has a series 3 engine in what rear shock should it have, please?
