Before
After
Went on a ride out tonight and stopped at a garage for a drink, sat at the side of the road and suddenly though F**K that's hot, looked down and my left leg was on fire.Jumped off and tried to put fire out on my leg,had to let go of scoot which went up in flames.I've got superficial burns to leg and blisters on right hand apart from that I'm Ok.
My cutdown,before and after

Didn't notice the air scoop was melted,I'm hopefully going to collect it tomorrow from the recovery firm and then I'll have another look at it and take some pictures,it seemed to be burning for ages before the fire brigade turned up,even though I was only about 100 yards from a garage they wouldn't let anyone use their fire extinguishers so had to let it burn until they got there.By the pictures it looks as though the front disc, rear shock and rear set brake are Ok,I think the carb etc will be gone. The engine is/was a Mugello 186,I was thinking of an engine upgrade anyway.
I'll keep you updated.
I'm not having a good year with 3 scoots off the road at present and getting made redundant within the next few weeks
Cheers

Bloody 'el Red, that could only happen to you First off, glad you're OK, could have been a lot worse. Any idea how it happened ? Turning out to be another expensive scooter season for you, especially with the work situation on top. Keep smiling mate and hope to see you soon, but possibly not on a Lammy eh
