They're fitted to LML's as standard aren't they?

It's probably fair to say that only the Indians would sell a Maxi Life tyre.

You got to ask why, when tyres are concerned function over form every day of the week. The fact that you can't buy them in the UK says all you need to know for me.

Got to say the very name is enough to strike dread in your heart. Think about it, Maxi Life, means hard compounds, probably a crude tread pattern and more than likely poor grip. But hey! They'll last forever.

You could save even more money by checking on the LML forum or FB page - most members are happy to give them away ;)

For example:

Lambretta LI125 Series 2, Lambretta LI150 Series 3, Lambretta J100 Cento, LML Star 150 2T

I bought a new LML Star last year which had a pair of 'BIRLA ROADMAXX S61' tyres fitted. In all fairness they don't look a bad product, but when I saw the dreaded 5-letter word on them (NYLON)!!!! on them I replaced them with a pair of Michelins straight away. I learnt many years ago that wet roads + fuel spillage + nylon tyres = zero grip . I wouldn't sell or give them away, I think that would be like assisted suicide !

Reading the LML thread I can't believe that someone has removed these tyres cos they are dangerous, but is saving them and is prepared to put them back on scooter if they sell it....... :o :o :o
