Trying to strobe my timing but the strobe aint flashing
Wired up to 6 month old battery that I took out of my car when it was scrapped yesterday so I know the battery is good
Red to positive, black to negative and running the scooter rather than using a drill
Cant see why its not working, its brand new so I'm wondering if its faulty

Some of the sensors have a direction arrow on them.

The arrow should point toward the spark plug ( which it is .) If the battery is ok and connected correctly, it should work.

Had the same trouble a couple of weeks ago, battery wasn't charged enough, so connected my battery charger at the same time and it worked fine, might be worth a try.

Battery probably needs to be at 12V. Charge it up and give it another go.

Have you got the engine running whilst you hold the trigger.

Have you tried earthing to the frame rather than the battery?

Try a different CDI, I have trouble with various ones strobing.
Swap CDI for a Ducati one I have I know works, and almost always get a flash.
