Ive done both mine with the scooter & service conversion https://www.scooter-and-service.de/larg ... l-komplett ...the basic kit consists of a billet rim spacer to go between the wide halves of a px & a cosa rim, 5 bolts to replace yr existing hub studs & a 10mm spacer for the swing arm - or you can pay more & buy the fully built-up wheel/tyre set-up from them (as in the link)

Not used the SIP kit before - so not sure what's required with theirs... 130 section tyre is widest you can go & they just take the same standard inner tube as you'd use on a 3.50/10 tyre.

The beauty of the SIP wide tubless rim is that they have already build the off set into it. You don't need to use that ugly spacer or use odd rims or a spacer between the rims as with some other kits. In the kit you get the one piece rim and a small ally spacer for your engine case. Cutting a small amount off it is un-avoidable, (10mm). Tyre width wise you can use 110-120 or 130. A 130 section has a very close ratio to a 3:50 x 10. A 3:50 has an outside diameter of 634.50mm and the 130 is 631.9mm.

Hi all

Been thinking of doing this also, with the sip wide rim kit do you just need their rim kit which comes
with the engine mount spacer and a tyre as this seems the cheapest way.

thanks

This is initially the way I wanted to go with mine - but for some reason sip have discontinued their wide tubeless rim now.... which is a shame coz it does seems the easiest & neatest way of doing the wide tyre conversion & with the added benefit of being tubeless.

I had a little trouble on the T5, but a bit of pulling on the bottom the side panel helped.

Just had a look on the SIP site and their out of stock for a few weeks. So worth the wait.
