Gearing

Running rt195, mg clubman ,gp200 gearbox, 47 x 18 sprocket. All this is a final drive of 5.2. Thinking of getting nearer a final drive of 4.8. Changing drinker sprocket to a 20 with a 83 link chain appears the cheapest and easiest way to get near 4.8 (actually gives a final driv of 4.7).

Kit is described as able to cope with this final drive.

Are there any problems I might encounter. Would the sacrifice of low end make riding s pig (only ride one up and a mix of dual carriage ways, traffic, rural bends with slow elderly couples driving to somewhere to have a flask of tea!).

Thanks

If you change the exhaust then all the above info goes out of the window.
