Got a px 125 casing need a new gearbox, been offerd a complete 200 kit 23 tooth clutch etc will it work ok ie will it pull with a polini kit

How torquey is it? My 187 pulls 200 gearing (short 4th), with ease, with a JL pipe on it. It's not a rev monster though.

A PX 125/150/T5 gearbox will do the job really well, particularly with the shortened 4th gear. You might struggle to keep in the rev range to fully use a P200 gearbox in a 180 motor without messing about with the primary drive.

I'm guessing the p200 gearbox you've been offered has a 65 primary due to the 23tooth clutch. With a 21tooth cog in the clutch and a 125 4th gear, the ratio would be very close to a 125 gearbox. I've never ran a polini 180 but I'm sure it would pull the above set up easily.
