Hi all,
How long would I need to run in a new set of genuine piston rings on a standard PX200 engine? Plus what kind of ring gap am I looking for?

minimum ring gap 0.2 mm but work on 0.25-0.40 mm (0.010-0.016 in)
I would personally just let them bed in for about 30 miles without thrashing it
mind I once put a new set in my P2 at the end of the year and never used the bike for a while - forgot I`d re ringed it and set off to Llandudno as normal on A Roads and Motorways with no problem - only remembered near Chester which was about 140 mile in !!!

Running in is mainly about getting the sharp peaks / edges of the grooves in the hone of the barrel. Assuming the barrels already well bedded in I'd take it easy for 50 miles or so
