Hi Guys
After some advice, i am working on a mates T5 engine (changing the Cush Drive springs). major issue is that I can get the flywheel off, it appears that whoever has worked on it before has damaged the threads in the flywheel boss and as such has stripped the threads off my removal tool. I now have a 3 legged puller fitted and it has damaged the edge of the flywheel when it was initially tightened up, it is now fitted under the solid part of the flywheel and torqued to 40lbs/in and isn't moving. I have tried heating the centre with ablow torch but no luck. It is stuck fast.
Any ideas how to remove it and where I can get a replacement flywheel from?? A 2 hour job has turned into a nightmare.

T5 Flywheel removal??
Hi Andy, I've had the same thing happen to me years ago on my T5. One thing that did help was a good spray of WD40 onto the threads of the crank. When the flywheel came off with a bit of heat the WD40 had made it ALL over the taper of the crank. Flywheels do come up on Ebay from time to time.

Very optimistic I reckon, even the Piaggio repair times give it as 3hr 41 minutes.
