the bracket or round bar has to be welded to the frame , it sits like this underneath. sorry no bracket pic but ill take one if your not sure.

a right pain in the hole id imagine, haven't had to do it yet,

Are these pics any use to you?
I modified mine to use the standard brake pedal and also the bit 'arm' bracket thingy that your supposed to weld your frame struts to I welded a bracket to that so I could bolt it to frame struts
