Ok, I'm playing around with SR barrel (not like that!)
Cleaning up the ports etc
What's the best way ensuring I have all metal sandings out of there before reassembly?
Cheers

Spray it with engine cleaner then rinse with water from a hose pipe or even in the sink. You might get some flash rust in the cylinder but you can ignore that. Or clean it with WD-40 on a rag.

I also use the kitchen sink method, with a bit of ingenuity you can also rig up 2 hoses to squirt down the transfers at the same tim which will give you at least some indication of how the transfers flow.onthelam wrote:Spray it with engine cleaner then rinse with water from a hose pipe or even in the sink.
