having problems with pulling away, the only way it will is to rev its nuts off.
the cables are around the correct way as once i have got going i have sellected all the gears.
the engine is an li 150 with a dave webster 190 kit, the carb is a 30mm amal with;
main 170
needle jet 106
pilot 25
3.5 slide
is it the carb or maybe a gearing problem? i think its running with 16x46
any help would be great :?

JETTING SOUNDS WEAK...

Ive ran 26mm Amals on similar jetting.... but never on a 30mm

Try 107 needle jet.. 2D1 Needle.. and a main jet nearer to 270... The pilot and slide should be OK... Set air screw Half to One turn out Put the needle on second clip.... These set ups can run on a main jet over 300.. depending on Port timings and exhaust and head

old kits, especially 190s, have often very long inlet timing, maybe you check this as well

suggest it's weak in the pilot or progression area. Don't have a clue with Amal jetting but if it had been a Dellorto the pilot and slide would be the culprits.
