Hello all
i have got a late Li 150 which im trying to get on the road it hjs a lot of tatty chrome parts on it IE flywheel cover, tank , toolbox, forks and wheel rims. Can i get these sand blasted so i can etch primer and respray or does it have to be removed professionally.

I suspect you'd be cheaper to bin them or stick them on fleabay and source replacements you can paint.

I had a similar load of stuff stripped of plating so I could use all the original bits on my restoration but it cost a fair bit, the bits made of cast ally I spent ages scratching off with a diamond file.

ive taken chrome parts in the past to a powder coaters that also do sand blasting , although it dosnt remove all the chrome you wouldnt know there was chrome underneath and they have lasted a good few years without any problems, also you can spray over the powder coat or take to a chrome platers for dechroming.
