t5 d.side oil seal

is the p2 seal the same size as ive put a new one in and its tight on the crank I/e the crank is now quit stiff

both crank seals are the same on px and T5

did you put a bit of 2 stroke on the sealing surface before assembly to lube it as when it starts to pull home ? - if all fitted "dry" it may have dragged the seal lip.

pop crank out and check to be on safe side

have you got the flywheel on and clutch tightened up? sometimes it needs everything on to pull the crank in line. also, was it fitted flush with the casing? as the crank wont turn properly if its catching on the oilseal. I always lube the lip of the seal and the big end of the crank, flyside of the crank etc. with 2-stroke prior to fitting. as gaz says the crank seal may have turned as well.

As above what the lads have mentioned, but also some seals may catch on the drive bearing , think Diablo once mentioned this , but certainly another option to look into, was this a genuine metal or pattern rubber type?

ive said it before but I only use corteco seals and yamabond them in - put thin smear of silicon grease on the sealing lip to ease the crank install

Last failure I had was a kok brand when no corteco available - it lasted a year or so (Im stocked up with corteco now)

there are some s+"te seals out there - use either corteco or the genuine metal type steer clear of any of the black ones

at the same time..
