Pull down or push up?

Chain guides,pros and cons?
I am thinking of a push up,no reason other than i think it will give the chain an easier life :?:

I asked this question on another forum recently, push down if your changing chains/sprockets regularly....

I got a scootrs push up one andthe bottom slippy nylon one guess what didnt fit .. :D
actually I cut a few bits here and there then it did for what it cost was ok

I use the Jockeys Boxenstop one without a lower guide. Always works, never had a problem.

I've used a pull down one for years with no bottom guide with no problems, means you have more adjustment and can use a longer chain, the tension is on the bottom so just the slack at top.

I've been put off those ones and have gone for the richard taylor one instead which are about the same price(within a quid or two)
