..... and the drive bearing decides it's going in cockeyed and 2 of the rear hub plate studs strip the threads off the casings at only half the torque they should be at and then you find your helicoil bit is broken from the last time you used it :? :?

Ah well, onward and upwards! :D :D

Had my moment a couple of weeks ago, I finally decided to rebuild the Jet 200 engine from it's bare casing. First job remove some of the worn studs, I thought I won't feck around with double nutting etc, I'll go straight in with the stud remover. First stud I tried snapped off with a nice clean break flush with the casing. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh feck!!!

oh bugger :-(

Luckily im starting with a clean casing without a single stud in it so at least i wont have that particular problem.

On the plus side Ive decided to use some donor parts from my old chopper engine that has been laying in the corner for a couple of years and the gearbox is indeed li150 as hoped :-)
