oil on crank

just started swapping the top end on my mate scoot and noticed when i turn the crank there is a film of oil coated on the webbs, is this right ? Steve

Steve, there will be a deposit of oil mixture left in the crank area of the case! I would say tat was ok. I think that if the bike has stood still all the oil in the mixture would run to the bottom of the case and the fuel content would evaporate, leaving a more oily mixture. Assuming it's two stroke oil of course!
