t5 mk1 forks

are these the same as px forks,as im selling my mk1 frame and headset for a px

No, the bottom 7/8's or so are much the same but the top part of the stem is threaded for ring fixing as opposed to a pinchbolt arrangement for PX's etc. The mudguard side fixing lug is also in a different position, can't remember if there's anything else as not looked at a set in over 15 years.

you can put T5 mk 1 forks headset etc in a PX frame and viceversa, but the bits arnt interchangeable, the top bit is threaded instead of a pinch bolt. BUT, some late LML square headlamp models had the pinch bolt like a PX, and some had a disc brake master cylinder mounting! TX 200 Spanish models use the threaded forks also.....as do COSA"s....

i dont like the shape of the rear on the mk1 frame and much prefer the curve
of the p/px

Buy a spot weld drill and remove the square tail then,

'tis but a standard (ish) PX underneath.
