i am getting round to building a hybrid crank for a project that was put on the back burner for a while. so had to re measure everything just to refresh my memory . i need to know what clearance i need at the big end when using a pair of .50mm shims. also i will be grinding down the big end pin as the rod width is 12mm and the bearing area on the new pin is 15mm, so i need to know how much to grind back alowing for the clearance of the shims . the pin in question is a drt +/- 2mm eccentric pin which is 20mm dia at the web ends i will be grinding hese ends down to 18mm to suit my crank webs. cheers simon
