hi chaps, got the new engine fired up today.race rapido 230,been tuned by jb,60mm crank,mb reed valve, pwk 30mm carb,pm25 exhaust.apparently carb was set up for a ts1,and sounds very rich on 0 to 1/4 throttle.
getting quite a bit of spit back through the carb,is this normal with a reed valve with too rich a pilot jet, think it is a 38,needle circlip in the middle, havent tried it on the road yet as a few jobs to do yet, cheers all.

If your jetting is very rich it will still spit back even with a reed valve.

Rich at 1/4 throttle might not be a bad thing on a new motor, last thing you want is lean there.
