Project X - The Scooterotica Sprinter 8-)

Over the winter months i shall chronicle the build of our very own sprint scooter, which i shall pilot at next years sprint meetings, these pics are just a couple of taster shots of the casings which we had converted from small block to big block, and scooped for long-stroke. The component list will be off the shelf from the best UK suppliers of quality Lambretta items, and we will be using standard gasket face etc, no welding. As each item arrives and is fitted we will update the thread, right up to the start grid and the green go light on the track!

Casings being converted:

do you not think it nessasary to reinforce the out side of the case given that you have cut out for rod clearance ???

No, its only a 1mm scoop as the crank is 60mm and the edges of the scoop are angled not squared. It will be fine. And if not, whats the worst that can happen if it splits in two at 9000+rpm @ 100mph??? lol

Hi Dan,
Have the old Barrel studs been plugged or welded?
