I need a crank for my Spanish Jet 200 rebuild and have a very good condition Innocenti LI 125 crank. Can it be used? If so, do I need shims or anything to make it work?

Thanks!

Same taper, same stroke and same rod length so that part checks out.

Have the crank check for true and make sure it's cleaner than a clean thing before installing.

I say, I say there boy. Why'd you want to use an LI crank with a heavy flywheel like that, boy?

I hate to say it now, if you've gone and bought yourself a new Jet type crank, but the flywheel comment made suggests that the point being made was, 'Why stick with a Jet/LI/SX thin taper crank on a 200cc machine, when history has proven these to be weak, over and over again?' Certainly, this is the meaning that I was saying 'ditto' to.

If you do a search for 'weak taper', 'sheared taper', etc then you should find plenty of information on my Innocenti changed the design of the LI/SX crank to have a much stronger taper. I've had to knock a number of sheared crank ends out of flywheels and this has been covered many times on different Lambretta/scooter forums.

If you have simply replaced the Jet crank then I wish you well. Many have given a lifetime's good reliable service, whilst others have failed within the first couple of year's use. Hopefully, you'll be lucky.
