Is this possible? By re facing, I mean re plating the front of the slide to its origonal width using chrome or other medium? I have a dellorto vhsh 30 which goes through a slide a year. I have 4 of them now all with wear on the outside edges. At £60+ a slide it would be handy to have another option.

It will be cheaper popping in the shop but i guess you are nowhere near but they should still advise you on anything and give you a good deal.
