Right thinking caps on gentlemen,,RE my new project and the auto front end, IF i was to fit handle bars of the NRG how the hell would I sort the left hand side gear change?..right hand side easy, headlight/ speedo a breeze BUT...gearchange :?: anyone done this and please how ;) ...I know the D model has it (3 speed) and early lamys have it but how..Can you get rearsets with gear change on left hand side as a motorbike :?: ..May have to change the name from project recycle to project scooterotica.org :?

one alternative i have in mind is use a motor cycle throttle housing that has twin cables BUT you would need to remake the throttle sleeve in metal as you will need to mount a clutch lever to it ,but as you seem to have free run of an engineering shop :D

OR make a hole in the nrg bars just on the bend so it is in the centre as you look down the bars end on so that a standard lammy gear change and rod will pass through ,weld a sleeve in and some cable adjusters ,not pretty but would work

Thanks to all of you..looks like thats solved, a couple on the market both look to do the job, think I will put an ad up for a second hand one bet theres a few at the bottom of draws and boxs in sheds and garages..remember recycle. :smug:
