On average how long should a genuine set of these last? I've done roughly 200 miles on a set and they are worn out. Is this about right? I do tend to use my front brake quite a bit and I don't hang about. Any advice on where i can be sure of getting genuine pads and not Viet / Chinese rip off's would be appreciated. Thanks Pete.

well nissin would generally be honda ..but even then i could not say if they were chinese or not even if you went straight to a honda dealer as most of the smaller hondas are made and/or ripped off there now

The POS uses the nissin caliper and has now done 22 000 miles on the original pads. Gets ridden flat out most places. Last year it stopped working and the disc got hot after its winter rest. I got some new pads from Martin. Stripped it down and freed off the stuck piston. New pads weren't needed yet.
Could be sticking pins or pistons? Or as Ricspeed says, crap copy.

I stripped the caliper down and the pads have a fair bit of life left in them. It seems like the piston side pad is sticking and causing a fair bit of drag on the disc, which made me think the pads had gone. I think where the holder 'floats' on the 2 pins its sticking if that makes sense. How can I rectify this? Thanks for your comments thus far Pete.

i know what you mean re the pins ...get it all the time on crap mopeds ...some times they are are so stuck that you have to hold in a vice by the steel part and gently *persuade caliper back and forth to get them moving again
