Can anyone help with a clutch problem ?
I have li series 2 running standard clutch apart from a deep clutch bell .
The problem is when pulling away from cold I use minimal revs , but when it has warmed up I have to use a lot of revs to pull away , is this clutch slip or clutch drag and what is the solution ?
Also does anyone know if the ssp 13ltr tank will fit with a breath sweet filter.

There must be a reason why the engine has been fitted with the deep bell. Can you explain?

Clutch drag is where the scooter creeps forward when stationary, in gear, with the clutch lever pulled in. In which case, if you have any sort of problem, it is clutch slip, where the power from the engine cannot be transferred to forward motion because the clutch is unable to cope. However, if you are just having to give it some revs to pull away, this is not necessarily clutch slip, especially as clutch slip is usually an occurrence of high engine speed (around maximum power), rather than pulling away.

Perhaps we need a little more clarification on your symptoms. How does it perform at high revs?

The deep bell was a suggestion from a pal of mine who said it would give me a soft pull clutch .
At high revs say changing up from third gear to fourth it seems to rev at a higher rate then calm back down .
I hope this makes sense .

Your mate is right, it would give a softer pull because the springs would be more 'relaxed'. Unfortunately that also means that they will exert less pressure on the plates and result in the slipping that your desctiption seems to be suggesting. The standard clutch should not be too heavy to operate (unless fitted with completion springs) what's the rest of your spec?

My spec is mugello 185 ,jl race exhaust , lightened Indian flywheel bgm stator ,28mm delorto carb ,standard 4plate clutch with li springs ,gp200 gearing .

change your clutch bell to the std type and fit gt springs,you will also need a set of new clutch plates seen as you have been 'buzzing them' this should be a good setup with what you are using.
