I need a new piston for my rb20 and was going to buy a Wosner one from AF along with an avanti Rb head. i had my barrel ceramic lined recently and have a 66.08 bore, the Wosner comes in a,b and c with the following corresponding sizes 65.94, 65.95 and 65.96. Am i right in thinking that there grade c which is nearest is to still to far away?

A ball park figure for clearance is 4thou' (inches) which equates to .10mm
You would have .12mm ......in my personal opinion (I'm a sparky by trade ??) go for it...

Yes it is still too far away! 0.06 max. Why the fuckinell did you not send the intended piston in with the barrel for the re-plate?

Needed to replace piston and get a replate so got hold of a blaster piston and had it matched when plated. Found out after that pegs are not in best place so got rid of that, hence need for new one.
Anyone got any suggestions for a piston that will suit? Will buzz AF on tuesday to see what they suggest. They still only answering after 5?

the rings pegs were moved slightly on different years. Id have to look back at prev posts re this. I wanted to try and get it from AF but if they havent got anything to suit ill have to have a think about where to go from there....bugger...

Just checked again and .12 millimetres = 0.00472440945 inches.
maybe give AF a call but i thought that was within tolerance....maybe slightly high but still ok.
