Just picked up another P2 and sure enough another knackered kickstart. I must have bought half a dozen kickstarts over the past 2 years. Some i've bought i've not even fitted, the quality was so bad, some i fitted lasted a day !! Does anyone know what is a good quality kickstart, either make or supplier ?

Do you mean the shaft or the quadrant.
Some Spanish PX Kickstarts are steel so a bit better.
In regard to the quadrants had 2 break recently internally due to crap welding.

It's the actual alloy kickstart that's been giving me grief. Lambretta ones seem to be steel whereas the Vespa ones are alloy, onto a steel shaft. It's the alloy splines that seem to wear.

I have been using the curved kick-start and never had a problem with them. They do seem to be made with better material and in my opinion look better. I did have an original one powder coated and it lasted around 3/4 kicks, dont know if the heat in the process of the powder coating damaged it.
